M&I Wedding day – Photo story by Elena Hristova.

Dear friends, I am very happy finally to share that story with you. It was one of the first from my last season and I am very happy with the results.

That wedding had all the points I wish for shooting in a wedding.

Firs of all it was set in one small guest house with a restaurant near Sofia – Villa Ekaterina.

The place has a beautiful view to the mountains and nice architecture. The restaurant for special events is under a white tent and is suitable for interesting and artistic lighting.

The big positives are that in that case we have lots of time to shoot and we don’t loose the time in traveling and parking. Lots of the weddings in Bulgaria are connected with traveling from the groom’s house, than best man’s house, then the bride’s house, than ceremony, than photoshoot and finally restaurant with the guests. When we are situated in one place, I can go from the bride’s room, to the groom’s room, to the restaurant and it doesn’t take me lots of time – I don’t miss anything and my clients can have it all documented.

Actually I had one more thing on my side – a second shooter. Lots of the couples underestimate the importance of having two photographers on their special day. But you will see further – my second shooter had a very different view in the important moments. He was there on the cocktail before the ceremony while I was shooting the last minutes of the bide’s preparation.

And last but not least – I had a very emotional couple with very emotional friends and families and they just gave me the best of themselves. This kind of chemistry is not very common, but when you meet it, take the whole of it!
